A-tmosphere

If you've been to Leeds fest, Reading, or spring harvest, you'll like Greenbelt.  you'll see people in costumes, funny hats, fairy outfits, wellies, sandals, the lot!

You'll hear r'n'b, rap, hip-hop, goth, rock, screamo, emo, classical, orchestral, just plain weird - but all wonderful, and you'll find something you like, love, and all CDs are available to buy on-site, so you don't have to trawl round Wesley Owen for a CD only sold in america...

Ever heard of a 'bassline circus' where they perform everything to heavy hip-hop beats?  No?...I guessed not, well that's the kind of art showed at Greenbelt in 07.

Performers old and new, stuff you've never heard of, stuff you'll never dream of, stuff you'd even die for is at Greenbelt.  sure, you can go to Leeds fest in that same weekend, but you've heard all the stars before on the radio, you don't hear the Christian bands like 'Delirious?' or 'thebandwithnoname'  do you?  you don't hear up and coming stars, who've supported famous acts on their universal tours, like 'Linchpin' do you?

Along with all of this, come strange visuals around the place. Scrap metal figures of people sitting against trees, proffering their hand to you to shake, beer gardens (flowers planted in, and trees made out of beer bottles...and don't go 'aawww' cos you thought I meant a garden of beer - there is a beer tent too, for all you alcoholics!!!), 10ft angel wings for you to stand in front of, so you become an angel,  and lots of art exhibitions.

There are also more spiritual places. Quiet places, Christian aid tents, YMCA tents, tents with tons of exhibitions promoting global awareness of poverty, human trafficking, the problems in Palestine, youth work advice, career choices to benefit the world, campaigns, petitions, and information and many more issues. Themed events, talks by people like the Bishop of Uganda, James Bell, John O'Donohue, and tapes, CDs and videos of them on sale if you miss any, or they clash with something else you want to do that day.  And again, much, much, much more!!!

So, like the sound of it? Get tickets now...but there's so much more to Greenbelt than music and arts, you need the experience to realize how good being a Christian is, how Christianity isn't uncool, or only for old people, Greenbelt is one of the living, breathing, and actually ROCKING examples of this.
